A little letter from us to you… 💌📖
Some of the sweetest things in life are the things that are a little older, a little more Pride and Prejudice style.
A handwritten letter received in a mailbox after a few days of waiting. A book that keeps you up far too late. Sipping on some tea at the kitchen table while you talk a little bit of gossip with your mom. The feeling of discovering a story so good that you simply have to tell someone about and who better than to tell than your own book indulged daughter?
That’s where our little dream began.
Our names are Leslie and Addison, we’re a mother-and-daughter duo who have always believed there’s something special about slowing down and sharing the things we love. Books, stories, letters, laughter, and all the wonderfully unnecessary details that may be a little too much information.
We bond over our love of nostalgic things in life, the smaller details, the old way of living before technology took over. We believe this idea started while we both thoroughly enjoy reading Jane Austen novels, we found a love for stories that made the world feel a little slower and a little sweeter. We found ourselves drawn to a simpler way of life — handwritten letters, long conversations, sitting down with a good book, and taking the time to notice the little things.
So we created a little corner of the world dedicated to just that — nostalgic letters, hidden bookish gems, honest reviews, hot takes, and a bit of friendly gossip along the way.
Every letter is meant to feel like it came from a friend: something personal, thoughtful, fun and a little unexpected, with a book to talk about and a few tiny treasures tucked inside.
Because in a world that moves so quickly, we wanted to make something that asks you to slow down. Something to take your eyes off your screen and enjoy the little things outside of social media.
To open the physical envelope.
Pour yourself a cup of hot tea.
Read a letter and hopefully agree!
And stay awhile, maybe even find a new book to read.
With love,
A mother & daughter who still believe the best conversations happen through letters. 💌
